Kahawa Pride FC faces a crucial weekend across all three teams playing in the FKF Nairobi East leagues, with the Alphas scheduled for two league fixtures in as many days, the Lionesses preparing for their final match of the season, and Mapogo set for another important outing in the Sub-County League.

The action begins on Saturday when the Alphas travel away to face second-placed Embakasi United in what could prove to be one of the defining fixtures of the FKF Nairobi East Regional League promotion race.

Fresh from extending their unbeaten run to 11 league matches and securing a seventh consecutive victory, the Alphas head into the weekend full of confidence.

Last weekend's 2-0 victory over RDU FC saw the team continue its remarkable turnaround after a difficult spell earlier in the season. The run has lifted Kahawa Pride firmly into promotion contention with the campaign entering its decisive stages.

Saturday's opponents Embakasi United currently sit seven points ahead of the Pride in second place, making the fixture a significant opportunity for the boys to close the gap on one of the league's leading sides.

The first meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw, a match many within the club felt should have yielded all three points after a dominant display. This time, however, Kahawa Pride will be aiming to turn a strong performance into a crucial victory away from home.

Less than 24 hours later, the Alphas will return home to host Mentors FC on Sunday at 3PM in another important encounter.

Mapogo Set for Sunday Double Header

Before the Alphas take to the pitch on Sunday, supporters will have the opportunity to watch the club's youth side, Mapogo, in action.

The Under-19 side will face Young Boys Galaxy at 1PM as they continue their development campaign in the Sub-County League.

The team heads into the fixture following their biggest victory of the campaign, a dominant 7-0 triumph over Kamongo Starlets that showcased the attacking quality that has driven their impressive rise up the standings.

The victory moved the Lionesses into second place on 28 points, four behind already-crowned champions Kahawa Queens.

Although the title is no longer within reach, the final fixture presents an opportunity for the team to conclude the season on a high note and further underline the progress made during the second half of the campaign.

The Lionesses have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround following a disrupted start to the season, with key additions strengthening the squad and helping the team climb into the top two. The attacking partnership of Neddy Atieno, Mercy Njeri and Rebecca Munasio has been particularly influential, while the squad's defensive improvements have contributed to consecutive clean sheets heading into the final match.
