Kahawa Pride FC brought the curtain down on the 2025/26 season by celebrating the individuals whose commitment, leadership and performances defined the campaign.
Following the club's fourth anniversary celebrations and friendly match against Kakuma Pride FC at Nyayo National Stadium, players, staff, partners and supporters gathered for the annual end-of-season awards ceremony, recognising excellence both on and off the pitch.
Five prestigious awards were presented, each accompanied by a cash prize of KSh 10,000, rewarding players who embodied the values and ambitions of the Pride throughout the season.
Ouma Recognised for Outstanding Consistency

The Dino Haji Award, presented by Ryan Edward, was awarded to George Ouma for his exceptional commitment throughout the season.
The award recognises the player who consistently demonstrates the highest standards in training, and few embodied that better than Ouma.
His dedication translated directly onto the pitch, where he accumulated 2,398 league minutes, the highest of any Kahawa Pride player during the campaign. Remarkably, he finished 210 minutes ahead of the next closest teammate.
Whether deployed defensively or further forward, Ouma remained one of the Alphas' most dependable performers as the club mounted an impressive second-half resurgence to finish third in the FKF Nairobi East Regional League.
In receiving the award, Ouma became the latest name to join a distinguished list of recipients that has recognised the club's most committed trainer since its inception. He follows John Muturi, Robert Munyora and Kevin Gatoto, each of whom set the benchmark for consistency and professionalism in previous seasons.
Macharia Honoured for Service Beyond the Pitch

The Japheth Otto Award, presented by club patron Japheth Otto, recognised the importance of leadership away from matchday performances.
This year's recipient was James Macharia, whose contribution extended far beyond his role as a player.
Appointed as one of the team's leaders during the season, Macharia became a reliable link between the players and the technical staff, helping maintain stability within the squad during the club's first year operating from its clubhouse.
His influence also extended into the academy.
Throughout the season, Macharia coached the club's Under-15 side in the Kahawa Sports Association (KSA) Boresha Kipaji League while also leading the Under-16 team in the MYSA Kahawa West League, demonstrating Kahawa Pride's commitment to developing the next generation of footballers.
The award recognises community service, leadership and selfless commitment to the club—qualities Macharia consistently displayed throughout the campaign.
By receiving the honour, Macharia succeeds Peter Kanene, Simon Chege and Victor Ashinga, whose contributions to the club's culture and community have defined the award in previous years.
Kiarie Receives the Roland Ölander Legacy Award
The Roland Ölander Legacy Award, presented by Melissa Martin, was awarded to Stephen Kiarie in recognition of his role as the club's role model.
Few players better represent Kahawa Pride's culture than Kiarie.
A product of the club's academy, he has grown through every stage of the development pathway to become one of the Alphas' most respected senior players.
His humility, discipline and work ethic have made him an example for younger footballers across the Cubs, Mapogo and senior teams.
Earlier this year, Kiarie featured in an episode of the club's Road to the Premier League documentary series, which followed his remarkable daily routine balancing football with his early-morning work delivering milk to local businesses earning him the affectionate nickname "Wa Iria" (The Milk Guy).
His story perfectly reflects the sacrifices made by many grassroots footballers while remaining committed to their dreams.
Although Kiarie was unavailable to receive the award in person, it was accepted on his behalf by his close friend and teammate Kevin Maina.
The recognition places Kiarie alongside Victor Ashinga, Alvin Asena and John Zakayo, previous recipients whose character and leadership have left a lasting mark on the Pride.
Mwaniki Crowned Top Goal Contributor

Captain Lewis Mwaniki received the Albinsson Award, presented by Hayes Cannup, after finishing the season as Kahawa Pride's leading goal contributor.
Unlike the Golden Boot, the Albinsson Award recognises the player with the highest combined total of goals and assists.
Mwaniki finished the campaign with eight league goals and five assists, edging the competition through his ability to both score and create decisive moments.
Having joined the club midway through the season, the captain made an immediate impact, producing several memorable performances.
His dramatic stoppage-time equaliser away to Fortune FC preserved an important point during the closing stages of the campaign, while his decisive winner against Mentors FC proved crucial in the Alphas' push for a top-three finish.
Combined with a series of important assists throughout the second half of the season, Mwaniki established himself as one of the league's most influential attacking players.
In doing so, he became the latest player to receive an award previously dominated by Glenkeline Githinji, who claimed it in both 2023 and 2024, before Robert Munyora took the honour last season.
Oketch Named Most Valuable Player
The evening's highest individual honour, the Joseph Okumu Award, was presented by outgoing Chief Executive Officer Mathias Ölander to Marvin Oketch.
Named after Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu, the award recognises the player who accumulated the most Player of the Match performances throughout the season, making him Kahawa Pride's Most Valuable Player.
Oketch earned four Player of the Match awards, more than any other player in the squad.
His consistency in midfield provided the foundation for many of the Alphas' strongest performances during the second half of the campaign, combining composure in possession with relentless work rate and creativity.
His influence was instrumental in the team's remarkable turnaround as Kahawa Pride climbed to third place after a difficult first half of the season.
By lifting the Joseph Okumu Award, Oketch joins an exclusive group of previous winners that includes Kennedy Onyango, Glenkeline Githinji and Benson Goved, players whose performances defined their respective seasons and whose influence continues to be remembered within the club.
Celebrating More Than Performance
While the awards recognised individual excellence, they also reflected the values that continue to define Kahawa Pride FC; commitment, leadership, humility, professionalism, service and development.
As the club closes another memorable chapter and begins preparations for the new season under new head coach Domitila Wangui, the achievements celebrated at Nyayo National Stadium serve as a reminder that success at Kahawa Pride is measured not only by results, but also by the people who help build the Pride every day.
Congratulations to all the award winners on a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding contributions during the 2025/26 season.
