Kahawa Pride FC Secures Second Place in FKF County League!

Mathias Olander28 Jul 2024 - 20:32

Kahawa Pride FC wraps a stellar season, finishing strong in second place with standout performances and team spirit!

The 2024 season was a memorable one for us at Kahawa Pride FC, filled with impressive performances, thrilling victories, and a few tough lessons along the way. We proudly finished second in the league, just behind Reliable Base FC, and ahead of Holy Mary FC on goal difference, marking a significant achievement in our club's history.

Our season began on a high note with a decisive 3-0 victory against 44 Bulldogs FC, setting the pace for what was to become a largely successful campaign. Highlights included dominant wins like the 5-0 thrashing of Phantom FC and the staggering 7-1 victory over Brescia, where our offensive prowess truly shone through. These victories were not just about the scores; they were a testament to our team's hard work, coordination, and the strategic gameplay implemented by our coaching staff.

However, the season was not without its challenges. A 0-2 defeat to Holy Mary FC and a narrow 1-0 loss to Ghetto Sportive FC were stark reminders of the competitive nature of our league and the importance of maintaining focus throughout the season. Despite these setbacks, our team's resilience and commitment never waned.

Individually, our players reached new heights this season. Glenkeline Githinji was phenomenal, scoring 23 goals in 24 games and proving indispensable to our attack. Robert Munyora's creative genius led him to contribute 9 assists, setting up crucial plays that often determined the outcomes of our matches. Additionally, Victor Ashinga's consistency was unparalleled, as he played in all 25 games, providing leadership and stability on the field.

Our season concluded with a resounding 3-0 win against City Lions FC, a match that not only solidified our second-place finish but also showcased the depth of talent and the spirit of perseverance within our squad.

As we reflect on the season, we are filled with pride for our achievements and the growth we've experienced both as individuals and as a club. We are already looking forward to building on this momentum in the upcoming season, aiming higher and pushing harder to continue making our mark in Kenyan football.
