Finnish international and BK Häcken forward Paulina Nyström has arrived in Kenya for a multi-day visit with Kahawa Pride FC, beginning a programme of football activities.
Nyström touched down in Nairobi on Friday morning and wasted no time immersing herself in the club's environment, attending the Alphas' training session at Kamiti Grounds, where she interacted with players and technical staff.
Her visit comes just weeks after helping Swedish club BK Häcken make history by winning the 2025/26 UEFA Women's Europa Cup, the club's first-ever European title in women's football. The 24-year-old forward joined Häcken from Juventus in July 2024 and has since become part of one of Europe's rising women's football projects.
During her spell at Juventus, the Finnish international etched her name into the club's history books by scoring after just 11 seconds against AC Milan in May 2023, the fastest goal ever scored by a Juventus Women's player across all competitions.
She also shared the dressing room at BK Häcken with Swedish striker Felicia Schröder, who recently completed a high-profile move to Real Madrid. The transfer, reported to be worth around £1.16 million, surpassed the fee Chelsea paid for United States defender Naomi Girma in 2025, making Schröder the most expensive transfers in the history of women's football.
The Sweden-born striker, who switched her international allegiance to Finland in late 2025, also enjoyed a memorable start to her international career. After making her debut for Finland in November 2025, Nyström scored her first international goal in Finland's 4-2 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying victory over Slovakia in April this year.

Her visit to Kahawa Pride will extend beyond observing training sessions, offering opportunities to engage with players across the club's different programmes.
On Saturday, Nyström will attend the Lionesses' training session before taking part in a clubhouse tour alongside members of both the men's team, the Alphas, and the women's side, the Lionesses. She will later visit Mahiga Grounds to watch the Cubs' training session as she gets a first-hand look at the club's youth development pathway.
The programme continues on Sunday when Nyström will be in attendance for the FKF Nairobi East Regional League fixture between Kahawa Pride FC and Fortune Kinderen at Mwangaza Primary School.
Her visit will conclude on Monday with a panel discussion focused on the growth and future of women's football. The session, scheduled for 10:00 a.m., will be moderated by sports lawyer Khayran Noor and will bring together respected voices from the game.
The panel will feature Kahawa Pride FC Director of Football and former Harambee Starlets forward Neddy Atieno, Ulinzi Starlets captain and Harambee Starlets defender Diana Shakava and performance psychologist Melissa Martin.
The discussion is expected to explore key topics surrounding the development of women's football, player welfare, leadership, and creating sustainable pathways for female footballers in Kenya. The session will be live on Kahawa Pride Fc's YouTube channel.
Nyström's visit reflects Kahawa Pride FC's commitment to building meaningful football relationships, exposing its players to international experiences, and creating opportunities for knowledge exchange both on and off the pitch.
Throughout the visit, the club will provide exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage across its digital platforms, allowing supporters to follow Nyström's interactions with the Alphas, Lionesses, Cubs, and the wider Kahawa Pride family.
