Just Two Points Separate the Sides as the Alphas Chase Revenge and a Place in the League's Top Three
Kahawa Pride FC return to action on Saturday evening with one of its biggest fixtures of the season as the Alphas travel to Vision Ground to face Kamongo FC in the FKF Nairobi East Regional League.
Kick-off is set for 4 PM, with the two sides separated by just two points in the league standings.
The match presents the Pride with an opportunity to climb into third place as the race for a strong finish enters its final stages. Alphas currently sit fourth on 54 points, while Kamongo occupy third with 56 points, making Saturday's encounter a direct battle between two of the league's in-form sides.
For the Alphas, the fixture also offers the chance to settle unfinished business.
When the two teams met earlier in the season, Kamongo edged Kahawa Pride 1-0 at a time when the club was enduring one of its most difficult spells of the campaign. The defeat formed part of a run that briefly threatened to derail the team's ambitions before an impressive turnaround transformed the second half of the season.
Since then, the Alphas have emerged as one of the league's most consistent teams, climbing from bottom-table into the top four through a remarkable resurgence that included an 11-match unbeaten run and a seven-match winning streak.
The Alphas head into the clash encouraged by last weekend's fighting display away to Fortune Kinderen FC.

Austin Ochieng delivered another commanding performance in midfield and was deservedly named Player of the Match after controlling the tempo of the game and helping the team remain competitive throughout the contest.
